Boredom+sickness= New Post
I really thought I would never get around to doing another post. But, I am sooo bored I must be feeling the need to bore other people too. The boys are ill and David and Anneke went to his parents house for dinner. It's 9:00 and they are not back. Both boys are drugged and sleeping. Pippi the ferret is running a muck. I'm starving because I told David to bring me back food, so I wouldn't have to eat cereal like the boys did. I was able to attend church, however, since I teach the 12-14 year old Sunday school class I got to go and David stayed with the sick boys. David is doing Venture Scouting with the 16-18 year old boys. I LOVE my class! I LOVE teaching! We have lots of fun and they don't even mind hearing my favorite stories more than once. There is lots of participation....partly because of the incentive of the Jelly Belly test (never fails). Hmmm...que mas? Today Awnan turned 7! Luckily we celebrated yesterday before he got ill. He invited his ninja friends from Karate class and we made a ying-yang cake with ninjas on it...I do have pictures somewhere. In case you are still reading this boring post here is something funny: Awnan was eating a protein bar and said, "this will make me really strong!" To which Anneke replied, "You don't have to kid yourself Awnan." Another funny thing: We ofter say to our children "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit" but Finnian has his own rendition "You don't throw a fit and you get what you want" .....I think David is home...he better have food! Drat. No David. No food. I did find a half eaten bag of fruit snacks to tide me over though.

Now or Never
I must post now, or never again. Ever since we went with a cheap new graphics card for our computer and I'm unable to make movies I haven't really enjoyed doing a blog. Sure I could update everyone with pictures of birthdays and Christmas, but that's like doing a school assignment. I like to entertain....I must entertain. I enjoy and I could probably amuse you with a story every week of our lives, but I'm a perfectionist only when it comes to writing. Not with and spelling (as I'm sure you've noticed), but with substance. I always took forever to write in yearbooks because I would have to say something cool and witty or nothing at all! I cringe when I read in my yearbook "Have a nice summer", "Wish I could have known you better", "keep in touch", "Try to stay cool", and my favorite "Have a fun summer just don't get into too much trouble". Do these people signing my yearbook even know anything about me? Therefore I think, "Ugh!" when I think about having to put so much mental effort into keeping a blog. It was so much better just making a funny video with my children and good music.

So, what shall I do?...I've already spent way too much time on this and all it's saying is I don't like doing posts like this. Hmmmm?

The plan
Syphus Family pictures 2010

Pictures by Ashley CurtisOne more month to go here in Ft. Hood TX. On Nov. 22nd we are headed for St. George UT where David will attend Dixie State College. The children were sad when I told them we weren't going to live in Lindon where the snow is. But, as soon as I listed off all the family members living in St. George they started dancing around. At least the snow is only 45 minutes away and I'll get some use out off all the snow gear I bought. I might have to live in the mountains during the summer though....St. George summers suck the life right out of me!
